The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has sought response from the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) and other authorities in the matter related to heavy metal pollution in the air of East Delhi. The tribunal had taken cognizance of the media report. In the report, IIT-Delhi had conducted a study. It revealed dangerous levels of heavy metals like lead, cadmium and nickel in the air of East Delhi. Which can cause respiratory and heart related diseases.
